Rob Gardener is a gardening information specialist with approximately 20 years of hands-on gardening experience and a passion for making reliable gardening knowledge accessible to everyone. Before dedicating himself to gardening, Rob worked as a computer programmer, spending years immersed in technology, software, and the digital world.

Eventually, Rob turned to gardening as a way to step away from technology and reconnect with something more tangible. What began as a personal escape from computers developed into a long-term passion for growing plants, learning about horticulture, experimenting in the garden, and collecting practical gardening knowledge.

Over the years, Rob accumulated a vast amount of information about vegetables, herbs, growing techniques, garden tools, soil, seeds, plant varieties, and many other aspects of gardening. He discovered that finding comprehensive, well-organized information about specific plants and gardening subjects could often be surprisingly difficult. This led to an idea: create a single resource where gardeners could find as much useful gardening information as possible in one place.

Rob founded LearnGardening.org with that goal in mind. The website is intended to be a comprehensive gardening resource, bringing together growing guides, gardening how-to information, gardening tips, plant information, and extensive collections of gardening knowledge. Although Rob's background is in computer programming, his approach to gardening is firmly rooted in practical experience and a desire to learn. He combines his ability to organize and manage large amounts of information with nearly two decades of experience in the garden.
